‘Rosie isn’t just a guide–a literary traffic cop waving you forward or whistling you to a halt. She’s a counselor and a confidant, a companion on your long journey toward an honest creative work. She offers the qualities that all true mentors possess: patience, intuition, expertise, diligence, and most of all an understanding of the mentor/protege relationship. Rosie isn’t there to impose her vision on your work. She asks the important questions and listens to your answers. ‘  Timothy Marsh

‘A number of years ago I decided I wanted to be a writer. I thought it would be very easy. How wrong I was. But then I was lucky enough to meet Rosie Dub. Although she could well have laughed at my first efforts she didn’t. It is now a number of years since I sent that first manuscript to Rosie and I can’t describe in words how helpful she has been. Rosie is a great writer, editor and manuscript assessor and has a tremendous gift of being able to impart her knowledge and suggestions in an encouraging and easy to understand way. I love writing and it is Rosie who has nurtured me so that I am no longer embarrassed by what I have written. In fact every time I now write a sentence I think: Would Rosie say this is necessary? Is it repetition? Could I say this in a better way? I will continue to write in the knowledge that I am lucky enough to have Rosie to give me a totally honest assessment and invaluable suggestions. Thank you Rosie.’

‘Hi Rosie, the process of completing my novel ‘spinifex baby’ was made possible through your mentorship at a Tasmanian Writers Centre course, then the continuing mentorship of our spin off writing group. I wanted to let you know, and thank you, as I just won the Finch memoir prize. Karen Harrland – spinifex baby.’ www.karenharrland.com

‘I’ve had the privilege of working with Dr. Rosie Dub on several projects, including the completion of an historic novel.  Her input has been insightful and has helped me hone my manuscript and prepare it for publication.  I highly recommend Dr. Dub as both mentor and editor.’  Jan Nerenberg, Fiction Editor, American Athenaeum

‘Rosie’s editorial direction has really helped me grow as a writer. Rosie read my work with close attention, making subtle observations about my writing style and voice, and pointing out where I needed to expand on certain things. But she also helped me see how I could improve my book structurally, in order to establish a strong narrative thread and maintain the tension. It’s hard to find someone who can give you honest, constructive feedback, yet still make you feel encouraged and inspired. Rosie does exactly this.’ Heather Dyer www.heatherdyer.co.uk

‘I nominate Dr Dub because of her unflagging determination to help me be a better writer. She has shown an abundance of patience, good will, and creative insight into my work. She accepts my challenges, discusses my reasoning and makes me feel like I have been heard. Dr Dub is a teacher who wants her students to see further and reach higher, which is my description of a true teacher.’  Teaching award nomination.

‘Just to let you know how much I enjoyed your workshop in Llandysul last Saturday afternoon. Really good to have characterization up front, so important to the writer. Hope you’ll come back again with another workshop for us.’   David Karlsen
